Project Description

Mars Wars is a modification for Unreal Tourament 2004 which brings you a well known game for excellent gameplay on the advanced Unreal engine.
Mars Wars is different to other UT2004 mods. It's giving you a new game, not much will remind you that you are playing UT2004.

Even after it's second official release Mars Wars is still in developement, the newest official version is 2.0 final. Watch out for an upcoming version 2.1 which yet again improves many things such as the gameplay which has already been great in 2.0.

March 13th, MarsWars3 Posted 3:01am 22nd Feb 2009 by RED-FROG

Hello people,

Mars Wars begins it's 3rd round, on March, 13th 2009!

The now 3 years old project is finally ready to be released in it's third version.
Some people may know it under the name Mars Wars 2.1 already.

What's going to be new?
Mars Wars3 will come with a lot of new RailArena, CTF and DM maps. Yet again with improved graphics, sounds and animations.
What is probably most important though, is the extremly enhanced gameplay/gameflow.

Another target was to give the mod a better playability in online games. Tons of code optimzation does take care of this.

Mars Wars3 will also come with quite a few new characters and vehicles.
One of the new vehicles is the Combat Suit.
It's not hard to see that with this little toy you will be able to mow down crowds of unaware enemies.

I hope I could give you a good pretaste of what you can be waiting for with joy.

Thanks for your interest.

Deathrace - a new DM map "first look" Posted 11:16pm 18th Aug 2008 by RED-FROG
Hello Mars Wars fans.

Progress is good enough to show you some screenshots of a new and first racing map which will be in MW v2.1!

Target in this map is to drive a Jeep through a course full of obstacles.
But the important thing is to reach the finish in the best time! You'll be able to compare your own driving skills with friends online. Large scoreboards at frequently placed checkpoints in the level are telling the people who does it best.

Of course I didn't lose the target to re-make one of the best shooters out there, there's a lot more that happens in 2.1.

MW site revamped, MW2.1 Posted 9:42am 16th Aug 2008 by RED-FROG
Hello Mars Wars fans.

Our website designer/host sobe has revamped our official Mars Wars homepage.
Everything has been imported into a much better enviroment.

We hope the new look is pleasant to you.

In other news... Mars Wars 2.1 is still in development.
I know previous versions were done in lightspeed compared to what's going on now, but making things perfect take time.

There is also a new Deathrace map in work where you can demonstrate your driving skils in problematic situations.
There will also be a scoreboard of the fastest drivers and much more.
Screenshots and a video will be posted soon.
